One & Other - live gig on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar SquareOn Friday 25th September 2009 at 9pm I was lucky enough to be one of only 2400 people given the opportunity to take part in Anthony Gormley's One & Other project on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. I was given an hour on the Plinth in which I could do whatever I wanted, so I performed an hour long set of songs, mainly from the Octagon album. The whole thing was broadcast live on the net and the archived performance is available to view online at www.oneandother.co.uk where you can also leave comments and tag your favourite moments. I treated the hour a bit like a busking session and hope to raise money for two good causes which I have busked for previously. Please donate to Oxjam Chester, part of Oxfam's Oxjam Music Festival, at justgiving.com/oxjamchester or Busking Cancer for Cancer Research UK at justgiving.com/buskingcancer2009. I was also raising awareness of the Words and Music Festival in Nantwich which I will be playing on 11 October and Cafedirect, an excellent FairTrade coffee company who hosted my first London gig earlier this year. |
